HISTORY: ELEVATED PROSTATE SPECIFIC ANTIGEN
COMPARISON: None
TECHNIQUE: Multiplanar images of the pelvis were obtained at 1.5 Tesla prior to and following administration of 20 mL of Dotarem intravenous contrast. During this public health emergency, we are using enhanced sterilization processes, social distancing measures and PPE for your protection.
FINDINGS:
Urinary Bladder: There is urinary bladder wall hypertrophy. No bladder stone or mass is seen.
Prostate: The prostate is enlarged, and measures 5.8 x 6.6 x 7.3 cm, corresponding to an estimated size of 145 g. There are multiple central zone nodules. There is mildly heterogeneous signal within the right posterolateral peripheral zone, without evidence of a discrete peripheral zone nodule. There is no evidence of suspicious peripheral zone enhancing lesion or extracapsular tumor.
Seminal Vesicles: The seminal vesicals are symmetric bilaterally and appear unremarkable.
Lymphatics: No pelvic lymphadenopathy is present.
Bones: There is no fracture or bone lesion.
IMPRESSION:
No evidence of a suspicious peripheral zone prostate lesion or extracapsular tumor. Benign central zone hypertrophy.
PIRADS 2: Low (clinically significant cancer is unlikely to be present)
