HISTORY: LABRAL TEAR OF RIGHT HIP JOINT
COMPARISON: None.
TECHNIQUE: Multiplanar images of the right hip were obtained at 3.0 Tesla without IV contrast. During this
public health emergency, we are using enhanced sterilization processes, social distancing measures and PPE for your protection.
FINDINGS:
BONES: No fracture or dislocation is seen. No areas of abnormal bone marrow signal are present. Both femoral
heads are normal in contour. No evidence of avascular necrosis is seen. No significant joint effusion is present. No significant arthropathy is seen.
MUSCLES AND TENDONS: There is normal signal in the visualized muscles and tendons.
ACETABULAR LABRUM: There is abnormal signal throughout the anterior superior labrum compatible with
tearing.
SOFT TISSUES: There is normal signal in the visualized soft tissues. No mass or abnormal fluid collection is seen.
IMPRESSION:
Abnormal signal throughout the anterior superior labrum compatible with tearing.
